Timeless Taupo is Taupo's only privately owned commercial radio station, established in 2009. It features an 'Adult Standards' format playing music from artists such as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Perry Como, Elvis Presley and Connie Francis. The station broadcasts on 106.4 FM with a 2kW EIRP covering from Atiamuri and Rainbow Mountain in the north to National Park and the Desert Road in the south.
